New SOTBMusic: Anderson .Paak and J. Cole Collab on Trippy

Anderson .Paak is dope. J. Cole is dope. I could leave it at that and just say "support dope music in all its forms" and watch as this post does numbers on name recognition alone. But, that's not what you come to SpeedontheBeat.com for. With that in mind, this sounds like something Kendrick Lamar would've envisioned for mid-2000s Musiq Soulchild with its influences ranging from soul, funk, and traditional R&B. Lyrically, we find .Paak and Cole talking on lovers past and how they helped to make things a-ok (more so Cole than .Paak, as .Paak's lover is in the present tense more than anything). Sonically, the track, along with its parent album, Oxnard, is beautiful and full. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
