New SOTBMusic: @ThisIsMarlow Tries to Keep Faith in a Crazy World in New Visuals

Maryland's Marlow dropped FAITH X VICES last year. It sucks that it passed under my radar, mainly because the past few years have been huge for the DMV, independent and otherwise. Overall, the project itself is dope as hell and deals with some of the dualities that artists like Lee Mitty and Brain Rapp have spoken on in their respective releases over the past year-or-so. It's a great listen if you need introspective bars that don't just stick on one aspect of introspection.

The below visual is the representation of Marlow's "Keep Faith" intro from VICES. The visuals remind me of K.R.I.T.'s "Keep the devil Off" visuals. Both pieces are simplistic in their approach, but incredibly heavy in their content. Critical messages flicker on the screen as Marlow spits a piece of his soul out on this one, speaking on his relationships with his folks, friends, and social media as a whole. Opting to have Marlow just speak his peace in front of a black background works well for this one, as flashy imagery (for me) may've disrupted the intent and the message. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms, even if you missed it the first go-around.
