New SOTBMusic: @PCruzMusic Writes a Dark Letter To Miss Ives on New EP

I'm a bit late on catching up on this one, and for that I apologize.

P. Cruz has been both a dope music provider and a supporter of the SOTB vibes, so I owe him the review of his new EP, Letter to Miss Ives. If you're looking for simple bars and concepts, look elsewhere. This one comes out swinging hard as hell with the electronica-meets-boom-bap vibes of "Hollow" and doesn't let up one bit through the remaining four tracks. I mean, we also get a dead prez collaboration by way of Stic appearing on the reprise of "Hollow."

The remaining tracks have a distinct feel to them, speaking on the process of life and death. I take the project to represent something along the lines of this: we're here for a little while. We've got to make the most of them before our number is called. We must connect with each other and other presences outside of ourselves to become whole--or we're royally screwed and we meet with death incomplete. And when we meet death incomplete, we meet a fate worse than just heaven and hell.

Again, that's just my interpretation of the project. That's the beauty of music; no one interpretation is fully wrong or right. Instead, like this project, full interpretations are created by filtering through all of the thought processes. Check out the project below and support dope music in all its forms.
