Dreamy harps populate the latest track from Bay Area producer/DJ Slaptop. The instrumentation, which is somewhat freeform mixed with EDM elements, allows Baltimore native Tate Kobang to flow on the track. With lyrics in the vein of being in some form of love (even if it becomes somewhat physical), "What I Mean" seems primed to be a radio banger.
My main gripe with the song is that it comes and goes a bit too quickly. I would've loved to hear another eight bars from Tate, because he really got into his groove with the last few bars of his verse. Slaptop's new project drops in a few days, so be on the lookout for it if you're feeling the energy given with "What I Mean."
