Tope hit me this morning with some fire and a shit story behind it. Tope had his album completed on a laptop and it got stolen during a show in San Francisco. Because of this, "The Man" is the only surviving track that was mixed and mastered from the project that he had access to. The track, featuring cuts from DJ Flip Flop, is pretty soulful and chill while still having the energy to become an anthem. Featuring Cash Campain, Tope set up a banger on this one.
The chorus is simple enough that you can find yourself chanting and/or singing along with it. The track also features a plethora of punchlines and bars within for those looking for more than just a banger. All in all, it's a pretty sweet track that showcases why Tope may very well be "The Man" when it comes to laying down tasty jams. Check it out below.
